Some parts of Kathmandu witnessing rainfall since early morning



KATHMANDU: Some parts of Kathmandu are witnessing rainfall since early morning on Saturday affecting normal life and traffic in the capital city.

The water level in the rivers, including Bagmati, Dhobikhola, and Bishnumati has risen.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall in some parts of the country today.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of rainfall with thunder and lightning in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Considering the risk of soil erosion and landslides in the said province with the possibility of heavy rains, the DoHM has also requested to all concerned take necessary precautions.
