UML cadres clash in Kailali district convention



KAILALI: A clash has erupted during the leadership selection of the CPN-UML Kailali District Committee.

According to sources, clashes broke out between the candidates of the rival factions of the party after the Election Committee repeatedly postponed the election schedule.

A scuffle broke out between the incumbent president and presidential candidate Ratan Thapa and another presidential candidate Ran Bahadur Chand’s faction after the delegates raised the issue of delay in polling.

During the clash, the youths threw ballot boxes and scattered ballot papers. Election in Kailali UML has become uncertain after the clash.
