Man goes missing in Mahakali River in Baitadi



KATHMANDU: A man has gone missing after being swept away by the Mahakali River in Baitadi.

According to police, 64-year-old Krishna Chand of Banna in Pancheshwar Rural Municipality-4 went missing while bathing in the river at Haldhugat on Tuesday morning.

Information officer at the District Police Office Baitadi, Baldeb Badu, said a search operation is underway to locate the missing man.

Meanwhile, the body of 51-year-old Bindu Devi Saud of Dugrikhan in Pancheshwar Rural Municipality-1 was recovered from the bank of the same river on Monday, police said.
