Udhauli festival important in enhancing social harmony: PM Deuba



 

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed the belief that Udhauli festival would help strengthen national unity by enhancing the spirit of mutual harmony, tolerance and fraternity in the diverse Nepali society.

In a message of best wishes today on the occasion of Udhauli festival, Prime Minister Deuba has mentioned that festivals like Udhauli play an important role in enhancing social harmony by promoting cultural, ethnic and linguistic diversity of the country.

This festival also highlights the interdependent relationship between humans and nature.

Stating that the festival helps to maintain family, community and social unity while respecting nature and increasing mutual harmony among all races, Prime Minister Deuba has extended best wishes for the peace, prosperity and happiness of all the members of the Kirant community observing this festival at home and abroad.
