NC leader Nidhi holds talks with India’s Madhya Pradesh CM Chauhan



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress’s former vice-president Bimalendra Nidhi and Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, India, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, have held a meeting at the latter’s office in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh.

NC leader Nidhi is currently on a visit to India. On the occasion, the two leaders held talks on the religious, cultural, tourism and economic development cooperation.

Nidhi has invited the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister to visit Kathmandu, Janakpur and Lumbini. Chouhan has been the Chief Minister for 16 years.

In response, Chouhan said he would visit Nepal in the near future, said Ramji Dahal, Nidhi’s press advisor.

Similarly, leader Nidhi met with general secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Dattatreya Hosabale. The hour-long meeting took place at Vaidya Pradeep Tripathi’s residence at Saket Nagar, Bhopal.

During the meeting, Nidhi and Hosabale talked on the topic of constructing a metal bow to be kept at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, India, in Nepal itself.

The Ram Temple is under construction and the bow is to be offered on behalf the Janaki Temple of Janakpur and the people of Mithila.

The Sangh’s general secretary Hosabale has also served as the general secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad, the sister organization of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He spent 16 months behind bars during the emergency rule imposed by Indira Gandhi in India.
