Govt to accept World Bank concessional loan



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to accept the concessional loan of 59.6 million SDR to be provided by the World Bank for governance of drinking water sector and infrastructure assistance.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said the meeting endorsed Armed Police (Second Amendment), 2079.

Similarly, in a bid to promote modern and climate-friendly clean energy and to reduce greenhouse gas emission, the government decided to accept the grant assistance of 21 million US dollars.

The Cabinet also decided to accept 8 billion US dollars to be provided by the Korean Republic for the establishment of cyber bureau of Nepal Police.

Similarly, the economic and financial assistance of Euro 4.5 million to be provided by the EU would be accepted for promotion of green and renewal energy.

The government also decided to withdraw Nepal Citizenship Act, 2063.

Every Baisakh 1 would be observed as land registration day as per government decision. Dr Amarraj Giri, Prof Dr Krishna Prasad Neupane, Matrika Prasad Pokhrel, Gopalji Prasad Saraf and Mrit Yonjan Tamang have been appointed as members of the Language Commission.
