Discussion underway to ensure voting rights for Nepalis living abroad: Chair Dahal



KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Center Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said discussion is underway to ensure voting rights for Nepalis living abroad.

He said so while inaugurating the Nepal Festival, 2022, organized at Fukuoka of Japan.

He shared that knowledge, skill, experience and capital of Nepalis living abroad could be mobilized in nation building, adding they are effortful for the same.

Saying there is a friendly relation between Nepal and Japan, Chair Prachanda mentioned that Nepali students are studying in Japan for the past 120 years.

Also the former Prime Minister, Dahal thanked the Japanese government for its support in educational and economic development.

Japan as the donor country is very important for Nepal, he expressed the belief that Japanese government would play significant role in further expansion of its cooperation to Nepal.

The Maoist Center Chair opined that his visit would be focused to take the Nepal-Japan relations to a new height. He recalled that he has special relation and friendship with former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.

Expressing the belief that a stable government would be formed after federal and province assemblies election, Chair Dahal said a campaign of development and prosperity would be continued.

Chair Dahal has reached Japan today in course of a five-day Japan visit.
