Cold wave affects normal life in Terai

BUTWAL: The number of patients in hospitals of the Terai districts has increased of late due to the cold wave.

The number of patients suffering from cold, pneumonia, fever and typhoid has increased in the hospitals of Bhairahawa and other areas.

People, especially the elderly and children visit the hospitals with symptoms such as cough, fever and diarrhea.

The pressure of patients has started increasing due to cold even in government hospitals at various local levels in Rupandehi.

Senior Cardiologist working at Gautam Buddha Heart Hospital, Dr. Samir Gautam has urged people to be vigilant as blood pressure will increase in winter and almost all chronic diseases will become more serious.
