Three arrested for raping girl in Sukute



KATHMANDU:  Sindhupalchowk police have arrested three youths on allegation of raping a young woman at Sukute beach in Sindhupalchowk.

According to police, a 26-year-old woman was raped in a tent of Adventure Camp Resort at Sukute Beach in Sangachokgadhi-9, Chautara on July 2 at 3 am.

Police have arrested three persons on the basis of a complaint lodged by the girl.

The arrested are Prince Thapaliya, 18, Rus Karki, 18, and Sulabh Chhetri, 26, of Kalanki, Kathmandu.

According to Sindhupalchowk police spokesperson Kumar Basnet, a young woman who had gone for a walk on Sukute beach had lodged a complaint saying that she had been raped.
