IPL: Bangalore beats Chennai by 13 runs

KATHMANDU: Royal Challengers Bangalore have defeated Chennai Super Kings by 13 runs in the cricket match under the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Bangalore had notched up 173 runs losing eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. While chasing the 174-run target, Chennai was restricted to paltry 160 runs with the loss of eight wickets.

Bangalore’s Mahipal Lomror topped the score with 42 runs, skipper Faf du Plessis made 38 runs while Virat Kohli hit 30 runs.

In reply, Chennai’s Maheesh Theekshana and Moeen Ali took three and two wickets respectively from Bangalore.
While chasing the target, Chennai’s Devon Conway topped the score with 56 runs followed by Moeen Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad with 34 and 28 runs, respectively.

Bangalore’s Harshal Patel took three wickets, Glenn Maxwell grabbed two while Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva, Josh Hazlewood, and Shahbaz Ahmed claimed one wicket each to restrict Chennai to 160 runs.
