KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary and lawmaker Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the Prime Minister should take immediate action against those who do not keep CCTV footage of the Finance Ministry and Finance Minister Janardan Sharma should resign taking responsibility for it as well.

Talking to media persons at the Parliament House on Monday, Thapa said that the Prime Minister should take immediate action on the response of the Finance Ministry that the CCTV footage would be limited to 13 days.

He said that the Finance Minister should resign immediately after the issue of tax manipulation was raised or the Prime Minister should remove the Finance Minister and facilitate an investigation on the issue.

Stating that the issue of budget tax passed by the parliament is not a common issue, he said that it should be brought to a conclusion through investigation.

He said that the Finance Ministry’s statement that only three days of CCTV footage should be kept for 13 days has raised many questions.
