NA Election: Nomination of candidates being filed today



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has completed all the preparations for registration of nomination papers of the candidates for 19 vacant posts in the National Assembly.

The nomination of candidates for the upcoming election will be registered on Tuesday from 10 am to 3 pm, said Komal Dhamala, Assistant Spokesperson of the Commission.

Twelve political parties will participate in the election. An election official has already been appointed for the election and polling stations and polling booths have been identified.

There are 2,025 voters for the election, including members of the state assembly and the chief and deputy chief of the municipality.

Candidates from seven women, three Dalits, two persons with disabilities or minorities and seven other groups will be elected from the election.
