Student dies as his head stuck out of bus hits a tree



KATHMANDU: A fifth-grade student died when his head hit a tree as he was sticking his head out of the school bus at Lazimpat in Kathmandu.

Thirteen-year-old Ayushman Dahal of Best Elementary Montessori School was injured when he stuck his head out of the window of bus Ba 1 K 4642 and hit a tree at 3:30 pm on Wednesday.

According to the police, the incident took place outside the school.

The accident happened when the vehicle was leaving the school.

Dahal was sitting in the back seat of the bus.

He was seriously injured after the incident and was taken to the Teaching Hospital in Maharajganj for treatment.

Dineshraj Mainali, SP of District Police Circle Kathmandu, informed that he died during treatment there.

Dahal’s body has been kept at the Teaching Hospital for post-mortem. The police have taken the bus driver under control.
