DANG: The Lumbini provincial government has allocated Rs. 1.5 million for the scholarship of the freed Kamlari in Lamahi, Dang.

The allocation is being made in order to address the problems in the education of the former bonded laborers.

Minister for Health, Population and Family Welfare Indrajit Chaudhary said that the budget has been allocated by the Lumbini provincial government.

Earlier, the former Kamlari students had to drop out of school due to lack of scholarship Tharu leader Madhav Raj Chaudhary said that the problem arose due to lack of coordination among the three levels of government.

He said that it would be easier now that the provincial government has allocated the budget.
