KATHMANDU: Over a dozen armored vehicles of the Nepal Army will go around the Ring Road in Kathmandu with weapons on Monday.
In the afternoon of on February 1, 2005, the cabinet led by Sher Bahadur Deuba was dissolved and a new cabinet was formed under the chairmanship King Gyanendra.
Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Santosh Ballabh Poudel tweeted on Sunday afternoon that as per the regular exercise plan of the Nepal Army, armored vehicles are planned to circle the Kathmandu Ring Road on the night of Monday.
Similarly, the mechanized units under all the eight battalion are planning to conduct armored vehicles in different parts of the country on February 4 , he said.
Acting Army Spokesperson Colonel Padma Bahadur Budha said that this was a regular exercise and the information was made public so that there would be no confusion among the public.
He said it should be taken as normal as it is a regular exercise of the army.
