KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) cadres have suggested that central committee members should enroll their children at government schools during the closed session of the Eighth General Convention of the party.
Representatives on Wednesday floated this proposal in the closed session at a time when party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda’s grandson is studying at Lalitpur-based high-profile Ullens School.
This proposal has been tough nut to crack for Chairman Prachanda who has been advocating for uniqueness in the party by making it people-orientated and village-centered while maintaining the legacy of the decade-long armed insurgency.
Six-year-old grandson of Prachanda, the son of late Prakash Dahal and former Minister Bina Magar, is studying at Grade 2 of Ullens School, currently.
While commenting on Prachanda’s political dossier following group-wise discussions, the representatives floated this proposal stating that CC members should enroll their children at government schools.
Group (10) from the Gandaki Province floated this proposal calling for scientific education policy in line with the federal structure.
