Water level reaches danger mark in Kamala River

KATHMANDU: The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has warned people of flood risks stating that the level of water in the Kamala River has crossed the danger mark.

With the murky water surging in the river, people living along the river banks have been urged to take precautions.

Heavy rains have occurred in Rajaiya, Makwanpur and their surrounding areas since the last six hours triggering floods in the rivers flowing through this region.

Similarly, Bardaghat of Nawalpur has witnessed a heavy rain this morning.

The department has warned people living on the river banks to take precautions.
