Parties gear for elections, Minister Shrestha claims



KATHMANDU: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha has claimed that all political parties have put in place a door-to-door campaign as part of their preparation for mid-term elections announced in the country.

Inaugurating a drinking water project at Khadkagaun in the district today, Minister Shrestha said that all the political parties were reaching out to the public through different channels.

Minister Shrestha argued that the government was facing criticism despite its effective programs including impressive achievements in national pride projects and other development interventions.

He said the mid-term election was meant for gaining a fresh public mandate therefore all should take it an opportunity to reach out to the public to that end.
