Maoist leader Pun being taken to Bangkok for treatment



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center’s Standing Committee Member and former Minister Barshaman Pun is being taken to Bangkok for treatment.

Pun, who has been undergoing treatment at Sumeru Hospital in the capital for two days due to jaundice, is being taken to Bangkok on Wednesday morning as his health condition did not improve much over here.

According to Pun’s family sources, the decision to take him to Bangkok was taken after the problem of jaundice increased. He was formerly treated in Bangkok.

Pun was also treated in Bangkok in 2015 and had been going there for follow up every year until the coronavirus outbreak.

In the last two years, he has not been able to go for follow-up due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
