Govt to operate flights to China, Qatar and Turkey once a week from June 1

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to operate limited international flights to some countries from June 1.

A cabinet meeting held on Thursday night decided to conduct flights to China, Qatar and Turkey once a week.

According to a minister privy to the meeting, the meeting decided to operate two-way international flights to Doha, Istanbul and China once a week.

The government had allowed chartered flights even though it put a ban on international flights after the cases of COVID-19 increased in the country.

The government adopted a liberal policy on the operations of international flights after the passengers expressed grievances that they were being cheated.
