Birthing centers bring cheers to women in west Parsa



PARSA: The women of Chhipharmai rural municipality have been elated following the establishment of birthing centers in their home village.

The local women in western Parsa had been suffering due to the lack of birthing centers especially at the time of delivery.

The women who had been forced to go to Betiya, Motihari, Raxaul in India for the delivery have been on cloud nine to see the birthing centers in their own home village, said Kamal Das, a local of Bheriharwa.

Ward Chair Kedar Sahani said 90 percent of the local women have benefited from the establishment of the birthing center,

“Expecting mothers have got a new lease of life following the establishment of the birthing center in Jayamangalpur,” said Sahani.

With this, the number of birthing centers has reached three in Chhipoharmai rural municipality.
