SIRAHA: CK Raut-led Janamat Party cadres have set fire in a truck and vandalized many vehicles alleging they have violated the party’s general strike in Siraha.
According to sources, Na 5 Kha 5522 truck was set on fire by Dr. Raut’s cadres.
The police brought the fire under control with the help of fire extinguishers.
Dozens of vehicles were vandalized in Mirchaiya and Golbazar this morning for ‘violating the general strike’.
Transportation, educational institutions, industries, factories and markets in Siraha have come to a standstill due to the general strike.
The Janmat Party has declared agitation against the arrest of its cadres allegedly involved in looting the wheat seeds from Orahi Rural Municipality of Siraha.
The party has demanded to withdraw the case against the accused, release the arrested farmers, provide timely fertilizer to the farmers and investigate the corruption committed by Orahi Mayor Siddharth Yadav.
