Palpa places 14-day quarantine for foreign returnees



PALPA: District Administration Office, Palpa has made a 14-day quarantine mandatory for people returning from India and other third countries.

An all-side meeting chaired by Chief District Officer (CDO) of Palpa Yogendra Prasad Pandey on Thursday decided to enforce a 14-day quarantine in view of increasing cases of coronavirus infection in the southern neighbor India and other third countries.

With this decision, those who return home from India and other third countries have to stay in home quarantine at least for 14 days. The local administration will monitor the management of the home quarantine.

Pandey further said an arrangement of PCR test will be made in coordination with the local government.

Meanwhile, Holi festivals, anniversaries, assemblies, rallies have been banned and the local units have been directed to ready quarantine camps and isolation centers.

Pandey further said an awareness program will be launched in coordination with local media.
