UK to support Nepal’s vaccine program through £550m commitment to COVAX



KATHMANDU: British Ambassador to Nepal Nicola Pollitt called on Minister for Health and Population Hridayesh Tripathi on Tuesday.

In a tweet, Ambassador Pollitt said that she was pleased to see UK-developed vaccine benefitting frontline Nepali health workers as vaccine arrives in Nepal.

UK supports Nepal’s vaccine program through our £550m commitment to the COVAX facility, she added.

The COVAX facility will provide vaccinations to 20 percent of the population.
