Valley witnesses rain since early morning due to westerly wind



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley is witnessing rain since early morning on Wednesday. Commuters are seen holding umbrellas and wearing raincoats to protect themselves from the rain.

According to a weather bulletin issued by the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) this morning, rain is occurring in most parts of the country and is expected to continue till the afternoon.

The rain is occurring in most parts of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Bagmati, Gandaki Province and the same weather pattern is predicted in the other provinces, too, due to the local and westerly winds.

According to the Division, the westerly wind is gradually surging towards east from the west and the weather is likely to improve in the western and the central regions of the country towards the evening,

Thunderstorms and lightning are expected in various parts of the country towards the afternoon, the Division said.
