KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bam Dev Gautam has said he would attend the meeting of UML (Samajbadi) and seek responsibility of uniting the two UMLs.
He said so during a virtual interaction of National Unity Campaign Thursday. “I will put the first proposal at the meeting of UML (Samabadi) and request Madhav Kumar Nepal to give me the responsibility of unity. I am confident leader Nepal will give me that responsibility,” Gautam said.
Meanwhile, he regretted that UML Chair KP Oli did not entrust him the responsibility earlier. “I went to Oli, but he did not give me the responsibility I had asked for. Now, Madhav Nepal will give that responsibility to me, I know,” he said.
He claimed he would unite the two UMLs within a year and a half if leader Nepal gives the responsibility of dialogue for unity.
The virtual meeting decided to hand over the responsibility of dialogue to campaign Coordinator Gautam.
