PM Deuba, US Ambassador Berry “stand together” in vaccination campaign



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and US Ambassador Randy visited hospitals on the first day of the vaccination campaign using the over 1.5 million U.S.-donated Johnson & Johnson vaccines Monday.

“Building on almost 75 years of friendship, the United States has stood by Nepal’s side in times of need in the past and will continue to do so. Together we will #Beatthevirus!, the US Embassy has said.

A day after garnering a majority in the parliament, Prime Minister Deuba has given the message that the “vaccination campaign” would be government’s priority.

At a vaccination center in Jorpati, US Ambassador Berry inaugurated the US Johnson & Johnson vaccination campaign.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is being administered to the citizens across the country including the Kathmandu Valley from today.
