KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Pradip Gyawali said the government refrained from criticizing the Supreme Court despite losing both cases.
Speaking in Friday’s meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR), Minister Gyawali said neither the government nor the party criticized the court’s verdicts despite losing both the cases.
He was referring to the court’s order of reinstating the HoR and the decision to give the name of the Nepal Communist Party to Rishi Kattel.
According to him, the government could not table the bills in the parliament due to obstruction from the opposition party.
Gyawali further raised concern over the interpretation of the widely-used term “regression” in one’s favor.
“How could someone label the government’s moves as regressive simple because their aspirations to become the Prime Minister were not fulfilled?” he queried.
