Police seize hardware goods brought by invading customs in Birgunj



KATHMANDU: Police have seized a truck (Na 6 Kha 137) carrying hardware items and other groceries brought by evading customs in Birgunj.

Police arrested truck driver, Sun Bahadur Thing, 40, a permanent resident of Raksirang Rural Municipality in Makwanpur district along with the smuggled goods.

The truck was heading towards Rupandehi from Birgunj with goods worth Rs 50 lakhs.

The seized goods have been handed over to Revenue Investigation Office, Pathlaiya.
