Mugu fire victims to get relief, be rehabilitated



KARNALI: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, has said that relief would be provided to fire victims of Mugu and they would be rehabilitated.

Issuing a press release on Tuesday, CM Shahi shared that attention of the Karnali provincial government has been drawn towards the fire incident taken place at Gamgadhi bazaar of Chhayanath municipality-1 of Mugu district.

The fire started from Monday midnight was brought under control after around four-hour efforts of Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and locals.

Property worth a billion rupees was gutted in the incident. Twenty houses were completely damaged in the fire.

Expressing gratitude towards security personnel and locals for helping douse the fire, Chief Minister Shahi said that local administration has been already directed to make arrangements of short-term relief as well as relief package would be announced immediately on the basis of details of the damages as the local administration has already started collecting details of the damages, reads the statement.
