Rabi Lamichhane elected unopposed as RSP chair



KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane has been re-elected unopposed as the chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.

Lamichhane was elected for a second term through the party’s first general convention, which has been underway in Chitwan since Asar 7.

As no other candidate filed a nomination for the post, he was declared elected unopposed.

The Election Commission is yet to make an official announcement.

According to the party, party’s senior leader Balen Shah served as the proposer for Lamichhane’s nomination for the chairperson post.
