Nepal Veda Vidyashram to be upgraded to Mahabidhyalaya



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Veda Vidyashram in Bankali in Pashupati area will be upgraded to a Mahabidhyalaya i.e. college.

On the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the Nepal Veda Vidyashram run under the Pashupati Area Development Fund (PADT), Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale expressed his commitment to make the Vidyashram a college with classes up to graduation (Shastri) by adding four years after ten plus two (10+2) level.

On the occasion, Minister Ale warned of immediate action against anyone found misusing the funds of the Veda Vidyashram.

PADT Member-Secretary Dr Milan Kumar Thapa shared that the PADT was working to upgrade the Vidyashram to a college. He said there were plans to also developing the Vidyashram into a University.

On the occasion, the best teacher of Nepal Veda Vidyashram and the winner of various competitions held by the school were awarded in the program.
