Jhapa border checkpoints close for three days



KATHMANDU: Two border points in Jhapa have been closed for 72 hours starting 4 am Thursday.

Kakarbhitta and Bhadrapur border points are sealed in view of State Assembly elections in India’s West Bengal state, according to authorities.

Jhapa Chief District Officer Shrawan Kumar Timilsina informed that vehicular and people’s movement from the border points were strictly prohibited. The border points will open on at 6 pm on April 17 (Saturday).
