Father mistakenly kills son while shooting at jackal



PALPA:  A man has died from the firing opened by his father to kill a jackal in Palpa district.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Dhan Bahadur Lamtari of Ribdikot rural municipality, Thimure.

According to DSP Rameshwr Twati of District Police Office (DPO), Palpa, Dhan Bahadur died after receiving shrapnel to his head from the firing shot by his father Karna Bahadur Lamtari, 56, to kill a jackal in the corn field on Friday evening.

DSP Twati said they are investigating the case after taking Karna Bahadur under control.
