KATHMANDU: Sapana Roka Magar, who is on the BBC’s list of 100 influential women, has demanded security with Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ saying that she was threatened by Vinay Jung Basnet through YouTube.

Before filing the complaint with the police on Sunday, Sapana had met Home Minister Badal and demanded security and justice.

Sapana, who reached out to the Home Minister along with the leaders of the Nepal Magar Association, said that she was threatened through social media.

Sapana lodged a complaint with the police on Sunday after Basnet threatened to release nude photos and videos.

After Basnet, a viral man on YouTube, publicly threatened Sapana, she had approached Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal a few days ago.

Based on the suggestion of the Home Minister, she reached the Kathmandu Police today with a complaint.

Kathmandu SSP Ashok Singh informed that an arrest warrant is being obtained from the court to arrest Basnet.

She said that Basnet had been torturing her in many ways after she was included in the list of influential women of the BBC.

She used to burn unidentified corpses together with Basnet.
