DOTM starts process to procure 1.4 million smart cards



KATHMANDU: The Department of Transport Management (DOTM) has started the process of purchasing additional 1.4 million smart license cards.

The department has awarded a contract to the French company Smart Card and Solutions (SELP) for the purchase of 1.48 million cards.

The department has awarded the contract to the company for USD 1.24 million (Rs 140 million).

Director of the Department Ram Chandra Poudel said that the contract was awarded to the French company after considering the technical and financial proposals.
