Teachings and guidance of Mahaguru Falgunand inspiring: Prez Bhandari



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has expressed her best wishes of happiness, peace, and prosperity to all the people of the Kirant community at home and abroad on the occasion of the 137th Falgunand Jayanti.

In a message of best wishes on the occasion today, President Bhandari has expressed the belief that national unity could be strengthened and consolidated by maintaining mutual harmony and tolerance among people of all religious, social, and cultural diversities if the inspiring teachings and guidance of Mahaguru Falgunand could be followed.

She has, in the message, also wished that Falgunand Jayanti inspires all of us to engage in the great campaign of tolerance, harmony, non-violence, and social reform.

In a similar message, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said that the steps taken by social activist Falgunand and the advice given by him remain practical even to this day.

Lauding the contribution of Falgunand in the transformation of Nepali society, he said as one of the promoters of the Kirant religion Falgunanda is remembered with respect by the Kirant community and common Nepalis all over the world today.

The Vice President has also expressed confidence that the country and the people would be further uplifted if they follow the path of righteousness shown by Falgunand.
