NC distributes bags made from hemp plants



KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has distributed the bags from marijuana plants in the party’s 14th General Convention that began in Kathmandu on Friday.

NC Sources informed that all the delegates of the General Convention will be given a bag of ‘Himalayan Hemp’ brand, made in Nepal.

Ecologists and civil society leaders have lauded the use of hemp fiber bag made in Nepal.

“The distribution of bags made of Nepali cannabis at the NC General Convention is a welcome step. Thank you to the organizers,” writes former secretary Bhim Upadhyaya.

Upadhyaya has been advocating for the legalization of cannabis.
