Home Minister Thapa quit party: Maoist Center tells parliament secretariat



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) has informed the federal parliament secretariat in writing that Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa is no longer associated with the Maoist Center.

Sending a letter to the parliament secretariat today, the Maoist Center has asked the parliament secretariat to relive Home Minister Thapa of his post as the lawmaker saying that he has already quit the party.

The letter which was prepared on April 6 has been sent to the parliament secretariat today, said Maoist Center leader Dina Nath Sharma.

The lawmaker loses the parliamentary membership when he/she quits the party as per the existing provision.
