NA’s High Altitude and Mountain Warfare training begins in Mustang



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army (NA) has started its ‘High Altitude and Mountain Warfare’ training in Jomsom, Mustang on Sunday.

According to the Public Relations Directorate of NA, the training taking place in Jomsom aims to impart knowledge on mountaineering as well as rock craft and ice craft to the Nepal Army and foreign troops.

The training was inaugurated by Brigadier General Suresh Hamal. The training will be conducted till September 17.

A total of 81 participants, including 16 NA officer officers, 65 other ranks, and five foreign military officers and other ranks from the United States of America, Bangladesh, Pakistan and South Korea are participating in the training.
