NRB publishes today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 151.66, while the selling rate stands at Rs 152.26.

The buying and selling rates for one euro have been set at Rs 173.28 and Rs 173.96, respectively. One UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 202.84 (buying) and Rs 203.64 (selling), while one Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 187.90 and a selling rate of Rs 188.64.

Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one Australian dollar are Rs 105.30 and Rs 105.71, respectively. One Canadian dollar is valued at Rs 106.68 (buying) and Rs 107.10 (selling), while one Singapore dollar is priced at Rs 117.38 (buying) and Rs 117.84 (selling).

The buying and selling rates for 10 Japanese yen have been fixed at Rs 9.36 and Rs 9.40, respectively. One Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 22.32 (buying) and Rs 22.41 (selling), while one Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 40.39 (buying) and Rs 40.55 (selling). The buying and selling rates for one Qatari riyal are Rs 41.60 and Rs 41.77, respectively.

According to NRB, the buying and selling rates for one Thai baht are Rs 4.55 and Rs 4.57, respectively. One UAE dirham is priced at Rs 41.29 (buying) and Rs 41.46 (selling), while one Malaysian ringgit is valued at Rs 37.26 (buying) and Rs 37.41 (selling).

The buying and selling rates for 100 South Korean won have been fixed at Rs 9.98 and Rs 10.02, respectively. One Swedish krona is trading at Rs 15.70 (buying) and Rs 15.77 (selling), while one Danish krone is valued at Rs 23.18 (buying) and Rs 23.27 (selling).

The central bank has also fixed the buying and selling rates for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.34 and Rs 19.41, respectively. One Kuwaiti dinar is priced at Rs 493.04 (buying) and Rs 494.99 (selling), one Bahraini dinar at Rs 402.29 (buying) and Rs 403.88 (selling), and one Omani rial at Rs 393.93 (buying) and Rs 395.49 (selling).

The buying rate for Indian currency has been fixed at Rs 160 per 100 Indian rupees, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15.

NRB stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that exchange rates quoted by commercial banks may vary, and the latest official rates are available on the central bank’s website.
