Ministry of Health directs all hospitals to get oxygen cylinders filled

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has instructed the government and the private COVID-19 Treatment Center to fill in the oxygen cylinders within their reach.

Issuing a press release on Tuesday, the Ministry has directed all hospitals to repair their oxygen plants if they are out of order.

The Ministry has also appealed all people who have taken the cylinders at home also to submit the cylinders to hospital and get them filled.

“When there is the scarcity of oxygen, it becomes really difficult for the hospitals to treat the people,” the statement said.

The Ministry has urged all individuals or the organization to return the cylinders to the industries they were taken from so that the cylinders can be made available whenever needed.
