348,000 dozes of COVID-19 vaccine arrive in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: As many as 348,000 dozes of COVAX vaccine have arrived Kathmandu Sunday morning.

The Nepal government has received the COVID-19 vaccines at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Minister for Health and Population Hridayesh Tripathi.

Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Health and Population, India is also providing 13 million doses of vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India free of cost which will suffice for 20 percent of the population of Nepal.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 20 million dozes of vaccines have been sent to 20 countries across the world in accordance with the COVAX distribution program.
