Two killed, two injured in microbus-bike collision



MORANG: Two people have died in a bus-motorcycle accident at Sundarharaincha in Morang district on Sunday morning.

Two others have sustained critical injuries in the accident.

The deceased have been identified as motorcycle-borne 21-year-old Arjun Neupane and Manoj Katuwal of Belbari municipality-11, said SP Sanjeev Sharma, chief of the District Police Office, Morang.

The incident took place when a microbus, Ba 4 Kha 696, heading to Birtamod of Jhapa, collided head-on with a motorcycle, Pradesh 2-02-001, coming from the opposite direction, said Sharma.

The injured microbus driver Ganesh Thapa of Kathmandu and co-driver Utsab Giri of Belbari are receiving treatment at Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar. A total of 16 people including drivers were traveling in the microbus.
