Newly-promoted DIGs conferred with insignia

KATHMANDU: Nine senior police officers who have been promoted from Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to the post of Deputy Inspector Generals of Police (DIGs) have been conferred with insignia.

Inspector General of Police Shailesh Thapa Chhetri conferred the insignia on them at a function at Nepal Police Headquarters on Thursday.

Newly-appointed DIGs Ganesh Bahadur Ayer, Purushottam Kandel, Rajesh Kumar Lal Karna, Dr. Dev Bahadur Bohara, Divesh Lohani, Ram Kripal Sah, Umesh Ranjitkar, Prakash Adhikari, and Mukundaraj Acharya were conferred with insignia.

On the occasion, IGP Thapa Chhetri congratulated the newly-promoted DIGs and directed them to change their leadership behavior and fulfill their responsibilities with new energy.

Speaking on the occasion on behalf of the promoted police officers, DIG Purushottam Kandel expressed his commitment to work in accordance with the prevailing law and policy guidelines of the organization.
