MAHOTTARI: Three persons of a family died of cold within 20 days at Bardibas Municipality of Mahottari.
A local Ramrati Sada’s daughter-in-law, grandson, and granddaughter succumbed to the biting cold in the integrated model settlement of Bardibas Municipality.
It is said that Ramrati’s pregnant daughter-in-law Sita, 35, was admitted to the Bardibas Hospital after excessive bleeding and sickness caused by a severe cold on 24 December 2020.
Sita died soon after her admission to the hospital while her newborn baby died in six hours.
As the Sada family was about to complete the 13 days rituals after the death of two, Ramrati’s eight-month-old grandson Pravash also died on Tuesday.
The same family lost three members in 20-day time amid its suffering from acute poverty and deprivation for generations.
In the Musahar settlement built by Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation, there are 18 lactating women and 10 aspiring mothers.
