Physical Infrastructure Ministry forms taskforce to study damage to roads, bridges



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has formed a task force to study the damage on roads and bridges caused by the flood and landslide.

The seven-member task force is headed by Chief of the Bridge Division, Department of Roads, Deepak Shrestha.

The task force is tasked with presenting its recommendations and study report by July 22. The task force has been asked to assess the damage caused by floods and landslides triggered by incessant rains on bridges under construction and those already completed.

The task force has been urged to present a report on the ways to minimize the damage to structures and on the precautionary measures to be taken in the coming days, according to the Ministry.
