Karnali CM Shahi reshuffles cabinet

Inducts two NC ministers



SIMKOT: Chief Minister of Karnali Province Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has reshuffled the Council of Ministers by inducting two ministers from Nepali Congress in the province government.

Chief Minister Shahi has appointed Yagya Bahadur BC as the Minister of Social Development and Din Bandhu Shrestha as the Minister of Water Resources and Energy Development.

Newly elected ministers will take oath of office and secrecy today and assume their respective office, said the Karnali government spokesperson and Minister for Internal Affairs Sita Kumari Nepali.

Chief of the Province Govinda Prasad Kalauni informed the provincial assembly about the appointment made to the Council of Ministers as per Article 168 (1) and Article 170 of the Constitution of Nepal.

The Karnali council of ministers led by Chief Minister Shahi includes Nanda Singh Buda as Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, Amar Bahadur Thapa as Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development, Kurma Raj Shahi as Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Gopal Sharma, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Nepali, and the newly appointed ministers Shrestha and BC.
