Lumbini Province NA by-election to be held on May 31



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) is scheduled to hold the National Assembly (NA) by-election in Lumbini Province on May 31.

A meeting of the EC held on May 2 decided to hold the by-election on May 31, said Raj Kumar Shrestha, spokesperson of the commission.

Voting will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Similarly, the office of the Election Commission Office will be set up at the Provincial Election Office at Ghorahi, the district headquarters of Dang district, which is the capital of Lumbini province.

The post is vacant after Chandra Bahadur Khadka, a lawmaker elected from the CPN (Maoist Center) joined the CPN-UML.
