New government in Karnali to prioritize road connectivity



KARNALI: Karnali Province’s newly appointed Chief Minister Jeevan Bahadur Shahi has said the work to connect all 10 districts in the Province with road network would be the first priority of his government.

Talking to RSS, he said 10 districts including Humla are yet to be linked with the national road connectivity and expansion of road network in such district would be the prime agenda of the very first meeting of his Cabinet.

The new CM, who succeeded Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, pledged to recognize the works executed by the erstwhile government and make his best to materialize the dreams of Karnali folks.

As he said, the expansion of the Council of Ministers was likely after the Tihar festival in coordination with the CPN (Unified Socialist).

The Shahi-led new government is likely to induct one minister from the Nepali Congress, four from the CPN (Maoist Centre) and two from the CPN (US).
